We recently launched our brand new (time-tested) Bible Quiz program!
God has uniquely equipped our church family with leaders, former champion Bible Quizzers, who are as skilled as they are committed to leading our children in learning to “accurately handle the word of truth”.
We couldn’t be more excited about the leadership God has called and anointed to bring this ministry to the life of our children and our church.
Thank you for considering this awesome opportunity for learning and growth for your child!

WHAT IS JBQ?
In JBQ, quizzers learn a specific set of questions and answers about the Bible, including factual information and memory verses. The questions are then asked to two teams, and the quizzers can try to ‘buzz in’ (like Jeopardy) to answer the questions.
AGES
This program is divided into two levels: Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) for 1st-6th graders, and Bible Quiz (BQ) for 7th-12th graders.
LEARNING
In BQ, quizzers study one or two books of the Bible at a time, with different books being studied each year. Like JBQ, questions are asked to two teams; unlike JBQ, the quizzers don’t know the questions ahead of time and rely on their knowledge of the book(s) in order to answer the questions. Quizzers gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word and learn more sophisticated study skills in this program.
BENEFITS
This fun and friendly competition allows children to learn more about God’s Word while also learning principles of teamwork and good sportsmanship. Additionally, it offers them the opportunity to get to know quizzers from all over the state.
COMMITMENT
Quiz practice for both levels will happen on Sunday mornings after worship but during the main service sermon. (They will be dismissed to follow their Coaches after offering.)
We will be going to quiz meets (friendly practice competitions against other churches) once a month from October-April (except December). We also ask that quizzers have the opportunity to spend some time at home studying the material, even if it’s only a half-hour for a couple days a week and/or incorporating a small amount of study into evening devotionals. Study time at home will help the quizzers to gain a better understanding of the material, and those who study at home will be more successful in both learning and competing.
